Dynamic Blooms

Today I watched a live fashion film from the amazing website, SHOWstudio.com.

The film was for a shoot to be shown in Another magazine next year, named Dynamic Blooms, I only caught one look from the full day of shooting, but wow, what a stunning look.

The gorgeous blue fringed Versace dress.

Before the shoot started the footage showed us Nick Knight with the stylist organising images on paper of floral looks that I later learnt were from the look in the morning, it was really fab to see professionals working out compositions and fashion imagery- you really do understand that it takes time and a really good eye to get the finished fashion image exactly right whilst being absolutely beautiful.

Composition Development: Geek Chic

(This is a great site for the geek chic character).

Composition Development:Indie

Composition Development: Silver Surfer

When thinking about compositions for this brief, I knew from the beginning that I wanted to look at collage and at the very beginning of my research, with the influence from the original publication I got from the library, 'Our Betty' I loved the idea of using a frame in the image. Like this one from a previous post. It's almost like mixing the traditional with the new: much like the dictionary.

When trying to work out compositions for the final images, I also played with trying to create the faces of these characters. I do like this effect, but at the minute I'm unsure as to which composition I prefer.
