'Our Betty'...thoughts so far

The book is a very easy read, as Liz Smith says on the cover of the book, the small 'chapters' are shots of her life, when reading the book I feel as though I'm in conversation with her and she just keeps on going on different tangents and talking about a lot of different stuff.

I noted that Liz talks of her childhood a lot and really emphasises her childhood traditions, things like the sweets she used to eat, the dress makers she visited it's all very interesting to look at and to see the comparison now with todays traditions, (are there any traditions of today) is amazing. Here's a few of my notes so far...

-childhood traditions
-theatre, actors, writers (look at iconic actors-interpret their style)
-1920's based
-homelife
